Ranking of Top-10 Canadian show jumping horses based on performances from January 1 to December 31, 2009:
238 horses made at least one start at the grand prix level, under Canadian riders, in 2009. (Criteria for definition of "grand prix level" appears on the "Horses" page.) Rankings were calculated including all horses that had made a minimum of 12 starts in competitions that meet the criteria.

Of the 45 horses that made a minimum 12 starts in competitions that met the criteria for inclusion, only 17 had at least one win. One additional horse was a member of a winning nations cup team, but had no individual wins. Cordoba (Kim Farlinger) had two wins but one was under an American rider, therefore did not qualify for inclusion. Ole and In Style had four wins each, despite each being out-of-action for half the season.
