F.E.I. (International Equestrian Federation) World Rider Rankings, as of July 31, 2010

Rider rankings are tabulated by the International Equestrian Federation (usually during the first ten days of each month) and are based on performances in the twelve-month period prior to the end of the calendar month just ended.


Top-Twenty Canadian Riders

The top-twenty Canadian show jumping riders, in accordance with their ranking on the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) World Rider Rankings, as at July 31, 2010. Riders are ranked by their performances in FEI-sanctioned competition. They are ranked by the rider's points only, not rider/horse combination.

  • Since last month Eric Lamze lost the number-one spot in the world despite sensational performances during the month of July. Reigning European Champion Kevin Staut of France takes over the top spot in the world. 
  • Lamaze and Yann Candele lead the Canadians, as the only two Canadian riders in the top-100 in the world.
  • Ian Millar has plummeted on the Canadian and world rankings in the last two months. The veteran dropped  from the 2nd-ranked Canadian two months ago to 6th last month and 9th this month. 
  • Lauren Hunkin jumped up from the 20th-ranked Canadian to the 16th despite the biggest win of her career coming after the cut-off date for these rankings.
  • Angela Covert Lawrence moved into the top-20 Canadians and Courtney Vince dropped out.
